sometimes i really cant stand the incompetency of people. which is why the role of confucianism is so important in society to inculcate the essential values of being a person.
君君，臣臣，父父，子子。
everyone should be responsible for their own roles in society.
i have just recently dropped ichiban sushi an email regarding their terrible take-out service. and today, i've talked to the nus central library's supervisor regarding the incompetency of the library staff. i felt that there is a need to make serious matters known, if someone could not fulfil his responsibility, then his job should be given to someone more competent and up to task.
however, sometimes i felt, perhaps it'll be better to just let things go as there's no need to spoil other people's day just because i couldn't get what i should. this kinda ironies in life are really difficult to tackle. on one hand i felt the need to eliminate incompetencies, especially in workplaces, on the other, i sympathise with the staff having to earn a living for their family. i guess, many a time it boils down to the principles each and every one of us holds.
oh well, 人还是开心最重要. as long as they've recognised their mistakes, and efforts are made to improve, then all is fine. :)
